'Matipou Exports Ltd' is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Matipou group.

Matipou Exports Ltd is the trading company specialising in the export of New Zealand Apples and Pears worldwide.

Matipou Exports was incorporated in 2002 to market apples and pears for the parent company Matipou together with fruit supplied from our packhouse and other growers/packers.

The Matipou group, is a fourth generation family owned and operated fruit growing / packing company based in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. 'Matipou Exports Ltd' was formed after the deregulation of the New Zealand apple and pear industry in October 2001. The Matipou Group identified opportunities enabling the marketing of our products directly offshore. Since this development point the business has now fully integrated orchard to consumer focus for the fresh produce.

The Matipou group grows significant quantity of the fruit marketed and exported by 'Matipou Exports Ltd'. Additional volume is grown from its dedicated 'grower base' situated all around the Hawke's Bay district and processed through the Matipou Packhouse. Fruit can also be sourced if required by customers.

The Matipou group of dedicated growers are highly focused on growing top quality fruit for specific world markets. Our group of professional growers are some of the best in the industry, this enables us to maintain our high quality standards. Due to a stringent quality assurance programme the "Matipou" brand is gaining recognition as one of the best quality apple brands exported from New Zealand.

Matipou Exports Ltd supplies export fruit from New Zealand for approximately eight months of the year. We have our own controlled atmosphere (C.A) coolstore enabling us to extend our selling season. We distribute to the New Zealand domestic market 12 months of the year.

The Matipou Group is Eurepgap and Vegefed quality assurance accredited.
